“Can I tell you something?  I don’t want you to take it personally.”  How many times have I heard this?   Of course it’s personal — it is about me, and I doubt it will be positive!  If I say yes, I often face the truth.  Then I become my own worse critic.  If I say no, people might not like me.    I once approached a big conference leader after a seminar that I had paid plenty of money to attend, and I asked if he wanted some feedback.  I was ready with my brilliant insight.  His response was “no”! I was stunned. Who knew you could say no?    I like praise more than criticism.  Once I told someone, “Tell me something nice about what I did; I have plenty of critics.”  Please like, comment, and subscribe!
